2017 Point-in-Time Count Report Now Available
MDHI conducted the annual national Point-in-Time survey in collaboration with agencies and volunteers across the Metropolitan Denver region. This survey generates a “snapshot” of the individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in our communities.
The annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count provides critical data to help define the scale of homelessness in the region.
Using PIT and other community data collected in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), funders and leaders can provide the right amount of various housing interventions and respond more effectively to the needs of every person experiencing homelessness on the streets, in campsites, and in emergency shelters.
The PIT would not happen without the incredible support from volunteers that represent a diverse group of Coloradans including people with lived experience of homelessness. MDHI extends its sincere appreciation to volunteers for pulling off the PIT every year during the last two weeks of January.
