Employment Opportunities:

Grants Manager - Full-time/Exempt

This position will provide leadership and oversight of the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds that MDHI receives through the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). This position will also assist with grant management and monitoring for HUD CoC programs funded by MDHI.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects and working with nonprofit organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in grant management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, with excellent time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with issues of homelessness and poverty
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Homeless Services Coordinator (AmeriCorps*VISTA)

This position will focus on building capacity through increased regional and local partnerships. Emphasis is placed on collaboration with OneHome and expanding the reach and scope of the community's plan to end homelessness.


Close to Home Campaign Coordinator 
(AmeriCorps*VISTA)

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to advance a high-profile public awareness and education campaign focused on homelessness. The mission of the CLOSE TO HOME campaign (closetohomeco.org) is to increase awareness and understanding, and move residents to take actions that will reduce homelessness.

VISTA Summary: AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Authorized in 1964 and founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965, VISTA was incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993. VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for more than 50 years. VISTA members commit to serve full-time (40 hours per week) for a year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency. With passion, commitment, and hard work, you’ll create or expand programs designed to bring individuals and communities out of poverty.

VISTA members receive a monthly stipend. VISTA members are also eligible for an education award OR an end of service stipend. Additional benefits include training, limited health care benefits, relocation expenses, student-loan forbearance or deferment and non-competitive eligibility for a federal government position.
