Diversion Strategies

While Metro Denver has incredible emergency shelters and housing programs, the goal is for fewer and fewer households to enter the homelessness system. Diversion strategies (also known as "problem solving"), relatively new approaches that are still being evaluated for their effectiveness, attempt to prevent people from entering homelessness through timely financial assistance, mediation with family/friends/landlords, and other problem-solving assistance.
