Brighton Housing Authority Lottery and Resource Fair 9/25

The Brighton Housing Authority is excited to have the opportunity to provide the community with access to available resources at the upcoming 9thAnnual Dori Benavides Memorial Resource Fair and Section 8 Lottery. The Resource Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Brighton Armory Performing Arts Center, located at 300 Strong Street, Brighton, CO  80601. This event provides attendees with the opportunity to connect with community resources that are available to them beyond housing programs. The Resource Fair is open to the public and community members throughout the Denver metro area.

  • Cold Weather Care
  • Career and College Launch
  • Eagle View Adult Center

  • Front Range Community College 
  • Hunger Free Colorado
  • InnovAge 
  • Life Choices 
  • Pennock Center for Counseling
  • Tri-County Health Department
  • Via Mobility Services
  • Walgreens (Free Flu shots will be provided.)

In addition to resources, the Brighton Housing Authority will be issuing lottery cards for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Lottery cards will be issued at the Armory Performing Arts Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the only day of the year Section 8 lottery cards will be issued by the Brighton Housing Authority. The 2019 Section 8 Lottery will replace all applications from prior years. Applicants must re-apply each year.

All accepted cards will be held in a pool and drawings will be conducted throughout the 2020 calendar year. Those who hold randomly selected lottery card numbers will be eligible to apply for the Housing Choice Voucher Program and will be notified by mail. This notification will contain instructions and directions for final approval.
