De-Escalation and Stress Management Training
As helping professionals, we are at risk of experiencing issues that mirror those of the traumatized individuals we serve, especially when we are working within a community experiencing the trauma of a pandemic. Research demonstrates the dangerous impact on physical and emotional health when exposed to trauma is combined with a stressful work environment. This workshop training explores the danger inherent to working with stress and trauma while providing a roadmap to resiliency and wellness, even during tough times.
MDHI understands and appreciates the hard work of our partners continuing to serve those experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 outbreak. It is our hope that we will be able to give you helpful tools and resources during this time to support your frontline staff.
These training sessions are for our Metro Denver CoC partners. Signups will be monitored! If your organization is not signed up as a CoC member, you can sign up here.
Presented by Matt Bennett, this live training series will cover self-care, effective communication, stress management, and de-escalation, and how best we can serve our community in a trauma-informed way.
Each training will be 90 minutes and will include time for Q and A. While attendance is limited, recordings of the trainings will be available for a limited time for the entire community.
