We have a grant renewal that goes from 4/1/17 to 3/31/18. Wouldn't this grant start on 4/1/2018 and go through 3/31/2019?
How do we know if/when the NOFA timeline has been changed?
Will there be technical assistance provided to review the applications before they are submitted in e-snaps?
Will there be technical assistance provided to review new project applications before they are submitted in e-snaps?
MDHI will try to provide helpful technical assistance to new project applications depending on when such requests are received in relation to the submission deadline of 8/23.
Will new applicants be given feedback about their requested funding amount?
Yes. You may hear back from MDHI to see if there is flexibility in your requested amount. The total amount requested from all submitted letters of intent for new projects is $5,963,460. The maximum amount of bonus funding this year for new projects is $1,423,837.
Who should sign the MOU (applicant or sub-recipients) and what if we have more than one project?
The grantee will sign the MOU, but it’s a good idea to share it with your sub-recipients so they understand the responsibilities and expectations for MDHI and NOFA grantees.
If you have more than one project, please attach a list of all projects which the MOU will cover. There is no need turn in multiple MOUs.
Will new, approved projects be placed in Tier 1 or Tier 2?
The MDHI NOFA Committee will review and rank all projects, and will make final ranking recommendations. Currently, we do not have a policy to put all new projects in one tier or another.
Can you provide more information on the HUD match requirement?
Do I run one APR for a 2-year operating period? Or 2 APRs, one for each operating year?

What is NOFA and what does it stand for?
