Please take a moment to read the updates below about our timeline to move OneHome activities from Salesforce into our new HMIS vendor, Clarity and a OneHome staffing update.
Thank you to everyone who attended the OneHome Community Partners meeting this week! It was a great half day spent discussing some ways that as a community we can work together to improve OneHome throughout next year. OneHome is excited to capitalize on the opportunity for growth and improvement that come with moving from Salesforce into the new HMIS vendor, Clarity. We will be sharing a summary of the feedback you provided along with identified action items for our community to work on together to improve OneHome in 2019.
OneHome Transition into Clarity Timeline:
Based on the feedback we received during the OneHome Community Partners meeting, the OneHome and HMIS team have decided to push back the timeline for incorporating OneHome into Clarity. OneHome will continue to use Salesforce through February 2019, which allows us more time to plan solutions for OneHome participating staff that don’t use HMIS currently and for surveys that aren’t connected to an HMIS client profile. Our goal is to launch the full coordinated entry process in Clarity simultaneously, (which includes VI-SPDATs, eligibility, and referral) instead of the initial phased approach we were going to take if OneHome moved into Clarity in December. Our current target is to integrate OneHome into Clarity fully (entering VI-SPDAT’s and housing matching) starting March 1st. This timeline is subject to change, so please keep an eye out for communications from MDHI and OneHome for updates.
Because of this switch to Clarity, OneHome will not be holding any VI-SPDAT trainings until early next year. During this time, we will be developing trainings that include both how to administer the assessment and how to use Clarity for OneHome processes. If you have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com.
OneHome Staffing Update:
The final OneHome update I wanted to share with you all is that MDHI has decided to bring the OneHome Program Coordinator roles in-house to MDHI. Having these two positions at MDHI will facilitate the rapid transitions and OneHome redesign that we will be going through next year based on community feedback and national guidance. You can find the position descriptions here and please forward this info to anyone you think would be interested. The Housing Navigator roles will be suspended after December 31st, 2018 as we move into Clarity and understand the expanded functionality this database brings to the community and OneHome. MDHI would like to thank Volunteers of America and the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in their leadership and willingness to get OneHome to where it is today. Please keep an eye out for communications on this transition in the next few weeks.
