Help Conduct the Point in Time Count January 28-29th
We need volunteers and knowledgeable agency staff to help support our expanded area coverage, and to survey as many folks as possible over this 24 hour period. Accurate data help inform and develop more effective programs, and allows up to apply for a variety of funding for housing.
If you are staff working in homeless services - please consider signing up in a staff support role
The agency staff roles are noted with a small padlock - the code is PIT2019.
The main shifts are Denver Street Outreach Monday night and Tuesday morning; then those who'd like to be available to fill in where needed - Flex Spots - Monday night, and Tuesday.
If you aren't staff who works directly with folks experiencing homelessness - we need you too!
Consider volunteering that night or the next day in many locations around the community.
Sign up for any available spot - no need to sign up in the agency staff roles
Invite people to join you! It's a cool experience to share, and volunteers say it's very powerful and a great way to really learn more about homelessness in your community.

Homeless Veteran Resource Providers Summit- a Networking Series
Please join us for this event which will take place at the Volunteers of America’s Bill Daniels Veterans Service Center (VSC) in Denver on 02/05/2019. This will be an all-day event with several of our community providers presenting on their services and what they need from us as a community.
Street Chaplain Workgroup
You’re invited to join a conversation on the role of street chaplaincy in Metro Denver. Street chaplains work with people experiencing homelessness, those suffering from mental illness, substance abuse, aging and trauma to create meaning-making systems in their lives and offer care in conjunction with other staff in the community offering case management and outreach. Communities like Nashville and Seattle have had great success in implementing street chaplaincy programs, and Metro Denver is exploring if there is a critical mass to offer similar resources locally.
Notice on Veteran’s DD214s
