Lambuth Re-launch, HMIS data spotlight, DOH shelter guidance, and Community trainings
HMIS Data Spotlight
This month we are sharing a data point which highlights the total number of households that have enrolled in each project type across the Metro Denver Continuum of Care (of those participating in HMIS). This is during the first quarter of 2019 (1/1/19 – 3/31/19).
Click on the graphic to see an interactive version of the visualization, which will allow you to see how many household enrollments there are associated with each project type.
We look forward to continuing to highlight the tremendous and important work happening in our community in future newsletters. Please contact email@example.com if you have additional questions!
HMIS Help Desk note: The MDHI HMIS team will be attending the National Human Services Data Consortium conference from April 15-19 with other HMIS leads from around the nation and will only be able to address high priority customer support tickets during those days.

Emergency Shelters: Spotlighting Best Practices
From the CO Division of Housing - Is your community looking at building or rehabilitating an emergency shelter? DOH has developed a Best Practices Spotlight document for emergency shelter based on national best practices and stakeholder input.
Highlighting the pivotal role that shelters can play in effectively addressing homelessness, the document outlines potential trauma-informed design considerations, opportunities to align shelter programming with housing opportunities, and metrics that can be leveraged for outcome tracking and evaluation.
DOH provides funding for shelter construction, rehab, or acquisition and recommends applicants meet with their Housing Development Specialist before the submittal of a funding application. Applications can be submitted on the first of every month.
