Rapid ReHousing and Employment Workshop
The MDHI Employment Committee is hosting a training for RRH providers on October 5th, 2018. We will discuss and plan how the Employment Committee and Rapid ReHousing programs can collaborate to help individuals and families increase income and achieve housing stability.
Homeless Veteran Resource Providers Summit
A group of homeless veteran service providers are organizing an event to share, learn, and educate each other on resources available in our community for homeless veterans. We are hoping many of you will not only attend but also share your agency’s resources by providing a 15 minute presentation.

Project Homeless Connect
Many of you have signed up to host a resource table or provide a service at the November 15th event. You can still register to provide a service here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ProjectHomelessConnect2018
About 1,000 volunteers to pull this event off each year. This is a great opportunity for interns or staff new to homeless services to gain an understanding of local resources and the experiences of people in homelessness.
Sign up at bit.ly/DenverPHC2018 to volunteer. The event is open to guests from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but volunteer shifts are available from as early as 7:30 a.m. to as late as 6 p.m.
The City and County of Denver through the Denver Human Services (DHS) Community Outreach and Resource Engagement (CORE) Division under Denver Human Services (DHS) is seeking proposals from qualified agencies and organizations to provide emergency services to those experiencing homelessness in the City and County of Denver. Orgazations will be sought who possess specific skills in one or more of the following areas: 1) Rapid Re-Housing, 2) Homeless Prevention, and/or 3) Emergency Shelter.
The Denver Department of Public Health & Environment is funding the purchase of emergency harm reduction kits through mini-grants. See the attached request for applications document for information on how to apply, due date, etc. Please coordinate your response within your organization so only one application is received from each organization.
