HUD CoC NOFA Application draft Online for Review
We rely on our community partners to review this application and provide feedback so that we submit a strong application that clearly reflects our collective work to end homelessness in Metro Denver. If everyone who is interested in helping with this would go through the application and look for four sections that are relevant to the work their agency is doing or larger community and add a sentence or two, we will have a much stronger application.
2019 Point in Time Community Planning Launch
Join MDHI, other agencies, organizations, governments and individuals from across the Metro Denver region to launch planning efforts for the 2019 Point in Time - Everyone Counts - on Wednesday October 10th.
There will be a presentation on the 2018 data, discussions on the methodology and efforts from last year - including mobile technology and magnet events, community review of survey efforts for evaluation and inclusion in the 2019 count, opportunities to brainstorm with other communities in the same room, and more.
MDHI is currently Accepting VISTA Applications
Congratulations to our selected AmeriCorps VISTA Partner Sites - Access Housing of Adams County, City of Aurora, Family Tree, Family Promise, MCPN and MDHI.
Applications will be accepted through mid-October for consideration. All interested candidates are welcome to apply. We especially encourage those from the local community, recent graduates, those changing careers, people that have retired and are looking to commit to a year of service, and those who have experienced homelessness. This is an unmatched opportunity to gain experience, learn about homelessness programming at a systems level, and make a direct impact in improving the regional homeless crisis response system to better serve our community.
Denver Housing Authority's Housing Choice Voucher Lottery is September 20th-21st
DHA utilizes a random computer generated lottery for the housing choice voucher selection process when available throughout the year, often referred to as Section 8 housing vouchers. The lottery is opened annually for two days per calendar year and the next lottery will be held September 20-21, 2018. If your lottery number is selected, DHA will notify you by mail with instructions to start the application process. Numbers drawn will be posted at DHA sites and on DHA’s website. Numbers not drawn by the end of the year are discarded, and interested individuals and families must resubmit annually.

Denver's Office of Economic Development (OED) is now accepting proposals for neighborhood public service programs to be funded in 2019. New in 2018, Housing service programs will be solicited through a separate NOFA.
Programs must be ready to implement services in the first quarter of 2019. Selected projects and activities are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and awards are subject to the availability of funding.
A general information meeting for NOFA applicants will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, 3:30 to 5 p.m., in the Parr-Widener Room at the City and County Building located at 1437 Bannock Street, Denver. This meeting will discuss both the Neighborhood Support Services NOFA and the Housing Programs NOFA. The meeting will include presentations from OED staff as well as an opportunity for questions and answers.
The deadline to submit neighborhood funding applications is Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 4 p.m.
