The YHDP is a grant opportunity for up to 11 communities to receive a portion of $43 million dollars.
MDHI is applying on behalf of all the counties in the Metro area: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and, Jefferson. If funded, the YHDP will provide the community with funds (a minimum of one million dollars) and technical assistance. Join us for the official YHDP Launch Meeting on March 13th, 2018 from 10-12 at Mile High United Way, 711 Park Ave West, Denver. Please RSVP due to limited space.
During this meeting MDHI will provide additional details about this opportunity, the application process, and how community partners can get involved. We will have hard copies of our draft support letter available for signature for agencies who want to support this effort. In addition, there is an electronic example of this letter if you’d like to bring a signed copy to the meeting.
The deadline for the grant is April 17th, approximately 8 weeks away. This is an amazing opportunity to get resources, build relationships, integrate youth voice, and create a plan to end youth homelessness for our region! Please feel free to share this information anyone interested, the more agencies that participate, the stronger our application will be.
