Annual CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 26 Released
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has officially posted the Annual CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 26 on Grants.gov. The submission deadline for the CoC Application and CoC Priority List is August 26, 2026 at 8pm EST. Metro Denver is eligible to apply for approximately $37 million in the upcoming competition. This allocation covers eligible activities including permanent housing (PSH and RRH), transitional housing (TH), street outreach, data and HMIS infrastructure, coordinated entry, CoC planning, and standalone supportive services only.
Key Updates and Opportunities
Tier 1 Protections: HUD has reduced the Tier 1 protection floor from 90% down to 60% of our Annual Renewal Demand (ARD).
New $1.3B Transitional Housing & SSO Set-Aside: HUD has established a $1.3 billion national set-aside explicitly prioritizing Transitional Housing (TH) and Supportive Services Only (SSO) projects focused on self-sufficiency, safety, and independent living.

The Metro Denver CoC invites new and renewal proposals, including applications from entities that have not previously received funding. We strongly encourage all project applicants to review the FY26 NOFO in full, as HUD has made significant changes to the FY 2026 NOFO, including program structure and available project types.
