Providence HomeShare acts as a matchmaker between low-income adults who are actively pursuing economic self-sufficiency, and the latent supply of homeowners who want to be a part of the affordable housing solution, by utilizing their existing stock of spare bedrooms, basement apartments, and ADUs.
Thanks to financial support from City of Aurora Homeless Programs, Denver’s Road Home and Volunteers of America Colorado, MDHI was able to again host Iain de Jong, President of OrgCode the week of August 28. Iain met with the OneHome leadership team to discuss coordinated entry system design, VI-SPDAT processes and thoughts on improving OneHome.
The first meeting of the Homeless Prevention Affinity Group was held on September 7th. Over a dozen representatives from homeless prevention providers and other concerned parties engaged in a conversation about what prevention resources are available now and ways in which a gathering of providers could be useful.

The Ali Forney Center (AFC) is dedicated to LGBTQ homeless youth, providing services to homeless and street-based youth, including a drop-in center, mobile outreach, and emergency housing.
On Wednesday, September 6th, Metro Denver Homeless Initiative, Easter Seals DBS, and the national SOAR TA center are hosting a SOAR Steering Committee implementation meeting to plan how to increase the use and efficacy of the SOAR process in Colorado.
On August 7, 2017, the HMIS Lead Agency (CCH) held a webinar on how to pull APR reports from HMIS. All renewal projects that are not in their first operating year are required to submit two years of APR data to MDHI by August 10, 2017.
